Progress Report


Progress Report

I am keeping a log to track the progress I make whilst making my music magazine.

Throughout the time of adding to my blog I have been adding bits of information and research I have found to different blogs.


18/01/16 - I started my preliminary task today, I played around with Serif PagePlusX6 to get to know the website and decided on the colours and layout of the front cover of the school magazine.

19/01/16 - Continued with prelim task, adding text

21/01/16 - Spent the hour taking photos for the front cover and contents page.

22/01/16 - I cut around the photos using the cutting tool on serif, this took longer than anticipated and I spent the whole hour trying to get the photo as neat as possible.

25/01/16 - I finished the front cover, adding all the text and photos together and adding final details like the logo and making a final decision on fonts.

26/01/16 - started contents page layout

28/01/16 - finished contents page by adding text and photos together

29/01/16 - typed up evaluation of prelim task

01/02/16 -  Research -started detailed analysis of NME and Q magazine, front cover, contents and double page spread.

02/02/16 - finished analysis and added acoustic magazine analysis

03/02/16 - spent some time editing work I had already done

04/02/16 - started initial response questionnaire - asked questions and gathered results

05/02/16 - analysed results and typed up

06/02/16 - did secondary research outside of lesson

08/02/16 - Planning made emaze presentation about colour schemes

09/02/16 - made prezi presentation about fonts and the title of my magazine

11/02/16 - created a mood boards,  related to indie culture

12/02/16 - finished mood board and edited already uploaded blogs

--HALF TERM --took test shots (16/02/16)and created some layout ideas (19/02/16) --

22/02/16 - edited blog and added different photos to blogs

23/02/16 - added an extra slide to my emaze presentation

25/02/16 - today I created a new mood board, of magazine front covers and added some more detail to blog posts, I also re uploaded some images onto the test shot and planning page.

26/02/16 - edited already uploaded blogs again, adding information and started thinking about construction and possible drafts.
29/02/16 - Today I started drafting and construction. I started working on fonts and have saved my next blog post as a draft.

01/03/16 - today I completed the blog post and started the first draft for my front cover.

02/03/16 - I spent the hour creating the first draft of my front cover

03/03/16 - Today I am made my first draft for my contents page

04/03/16 - took some more photos

07/03/16 - started double page spread and got audience feedback for posts

08/03/16 - today I continued work on the double page spread

10/03/16 - I completed the first draft of my double page spread and started the second draft for my front cover

15/03/16 - I added labels to my blog and started continued working on the second draft of my front cover, I also started typing the interview which will be going on my double page spread.

17/03/16 - I completed the second draft for my front cover

21/03/16 - I completed the interview that will be inserted as text for my double page spread and made the second draft for my contents page

22/03/16 - Today I spent the hour using Serif to create my second draft for my double page spread (need to upload)

--EASTER BREAK--

29/03/16 - today I planned the third drafts for my front cover, contents page and double page spread

30/03/16 - today I took more photos of my "artist" ready for the construction of more drafts

01/04/16 - I gathered more audience feedback for my first and second drafts

05/04/16 - Today I started to note down ways in which I was going to present my evaluation questions

12/04/16 - Today I completed the second draft for my double page spread and the third draft for my front cover.
16/04/16 - Today I started work on my third draft for my contents page and got audience feedback on previous work
21/04/16 - Today I completed my third draft for my contents page and double page spread
22/04/16 - I started my final draft for my front page and started answering the evaluation questions
25/04/16 - Today I completed the final draft for my front cover and contents page and started work on the double page spread
26/04/16 - Today I started question 2 on the evaluation section.
27/04/16 -  I  got the rest of my audience feedback for the third set of drafts.
28/04/16 - I spent the hour editing bits of my blog, and adding in comments to each of my drafts, I also continued with the evaluation questions which included filming videos of audience feedback and creating different presentations.
29/04/16 -  Today I completed the evaluation questions and wrote my note to the moderator
